Fine Art School Portraits - aldersgate christian preschool

School portrait day - April 1st-2nd, 2025

Gaby Cavalcanti Photography will be at Aldersgate on April 1st and 2nd to capture school portraits (individual and class photos).

Here are a few suggestions/tips on how to help prepare your child for the day, as well as, information on our school photography process.

before picture day

  • Make sure your child gets a good night's sleep. A well rested child is a happy child ;)

  • Feed your child a nutritious breakfast and remember to wash that yummy breakfast off their face! 

  • Have your child help you select his/her clothes ahead of time, chances are, if your child is excited about what they are wearing, they will have more fun during portrait time. However, please keep in mind that: 

The best colors for pictures are bright but try to avoid pure white and neon colors.

Please avoid large logos, hoodies, or sweatshirts.

Clothing that shows off lovely detail in the shoulder area looks great in photographs.

Make sure your child’s hairdo can be seen from the front.

  • There is no need to place photo orders in advance. You will have the opportunity to select your favorite images and place an order AFTER photos are published online (read below for more information)

on picture day

  • Gaby Cavalcanti Photography will begin taking photos shortly after morning drop off.

  • All children who attend school on portrait day will be photographed. Siblings who attend the school can also be photographed together. Please let your school admin/teacher know ahead of time.

  • We will be working individually with every child, for about 2-3 mins.

  • Class photos will be shot outdoors (weather permitting)

after picture day

  • Gaby Cavalcanti will select the best photographs of each child.

  • Selected photographs will be posted to an online gallery 3-4 weeks after school portrait day. Parents will receive an email with access to their child's gallery.

  • At this point, parents will be able to select their favorite images and place an order through the online gallery.

  • After photo galleries are online, FREE SHIPPING TO YOUR SCHOOL will be offered on orders placed within the first 7 days. After 7 days, orders will be shipped to each client’s home address, and shipping charges will apply. Galleries will remain online until September 30, 2025.

  • Orders that qualify for free shipping to your school will arrive about 2 weeks after the free shipping ordering period ends.
